This Fall photo shoot will provide you with an opportunity to photograph a variety of still life set-ups. We’ll provide the set ups and a variety of props. You can bring your own items to photograph if you choose. People will be available to answer your questions about using the set-ups but no formal instruction will be offered. The workshop is open to Peoria Camera Club and KodaRoamers Club members only. The workshop is free but to help cover room rental and refreshment expenses we are asking for a maximum donation of $10 per person. Recommend equipment is a camera with memory cards or film, camera instruction manual, normal to short telephoto lens, possibly a macro lens, tripod, and shutter cable release. You also may want to use your own flash for a setup. Refreshments will be provided in the morning and many restaurants are nearby for lunch. We’ll be setting up on Friday starting at 12 pm, so feel free to stop by and help. If you have any questions contact Carl Close at
(309) 274-5103 or e-mail email@example.com

Come out tonight for a presentation by Craig Stocks in the first half. Jim Burnham will do a short presentation on the Black Hills Photo Shootout in the second half.
Craig Stocks is a local landscape, portrait and fine art photographer. He offers workshops on night sky photography and other topics. From his website:
After working in the newspaper and studio businesses for several years, I chose to leave professional photography in 1977 to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer. Over the years, I retained my interest in photography, and the advent of digital processing rekindled my passion. I was able to retire at the beginning of 2009 and began an encore career in photography with an emphasis on fine art large scale landscape and abstract figure photography.
I’m also active in the local Central Illinois arts community. I am an active volunteer member of the ArtsPartners of Central Illinois marketing committee and I am currently helping organize the Central Illinois Artist Organization 1st annual CIAO Art Experience and Exhibition as part of the 2014 Ignite Peoria arts celebration (www.ignitepeoria.com). I also publish the Playing Peoria website where I feature photos and stories about local artists and entertainers.
